Program of Action
Lenovo and Bing are teaming up with DoSomething.org for their new campaign, The Hunt: 11 Days of Doing, to encourage young people to make an impact in their communities. Beginning July 10, young people can participate in 11 days of challenges that allow teens to get involved in their communities this summer and win additional prizes for themselves. After a challenge is completed, teens can post and share a photo on DoSomething.org to verify their earned points. Top teams with the most points will have the opportunity to win a Lenovo Ultrabook, scholarships, and the chance to attend the Do Something Awards in Los Angeles, California.

Until July 20, a new challenge will be posted on DoSomething.org at 11:11 am for teams to participate in and begin completing. Each day will focus on a different cause, such as environment, education, disaster relief, health, etc. Teens can start creating their hunt team on http://www.dosomething.org/hunt and prepare to take action.

According to a 2012 National Survey on Young People and Volunteering, 93% of teens in the US say they want to volunteer. The campaign chose a great time to target teens during the summer, they have free time to participate in activities and create positive community impact. In addition, the campaign reaches out to teens where they live most of the day, online and mobile phones. Teens can sign up, view challenges and share photos through the campaign site, Facebook, and mobile app.

Rewards, scholarships, and challenges are a fun approach to motivate teens to participate in activities and have fun while giving back to communities. By teaming up with Lenovo and Bing, DoSomething.org can reward teens with Lenovo laptops and resources to take action on causes they care about.

Program Outcome
As of today, 1,813 teens have signed up their team to participate in the 11 days of doing challenges. Challenges begin July 10th and will continue through July 20th. We encourage you to share with teens everywhere this summer about The Hunt: 11 Days of Doing and help gather young people together to make an impact in your community.
